Process

  • 1. Insurance adjuster will complete the Quality Research & Replacement Services (QRR) cover sheet.
  • 2. Adjuster will fax or e-mail QRR the claim cover sheet along with pertinent claim information. This can include policy limits, loss summary, or list of insured's items.
  • 3. QRR will send the adjuster confirmation of receiving the claim via e-mail within two hours.
  • 4. QRR will contact the insured to determine 'like kind and quality' of items.
  • 5. QRR will offer the insured direct replacement of each item on behalf of Insurance Company.
  • 6. QRR will conduct research, apply necessary depreciation, and obtain accurate pricing for each item.
  • 7. If the claim is a replacement: QRR will return a 'Replacing' list with replacement cost figures for items the insured wishes to replace, as well as a 'Non-Replacing' list that will show the items not being replaced within the same claim. If the claim is a quote: QRR will return a 'Quote-Only' list with Accurate pricing for each item. List type can be found in the lower left hand corner of the completed claim highlighted in yellow.
  • 8. QRR will begin ordering and shipment of replacement items to the insured upon receipt of the adjuster's approval via fax or e-mail.
  • 9. QRR will work directly with the insured and product manufacturer(s) to address any issues that may arise. QRR will involve the adjuster only if necessary.
  • 10. QRR will invoice the adjuster for direct payment on quotes or items being shipped.

Claim Resolution Times

Claims with fewer than 100 line items have a turn around time of 24-48 hours.  Claims between 100 to 250 line items will take approximately 48-72 hours.  Claims between 250-500 line items will take approximately 72-96 hours.  Claims of over 500 line items will be approximately 4 to 10 days depending on size and complexity.  These turn-around times represent the maximum amount of time needed to evaluate; however, in most cases we are able to consistently out-perform these service level agreements.  Delays in reaching the insured could possibly prolong the resolution process.  Adjuster will receive updates from QRR throughout the process.

Program Benefit Reports

Quality Research & Replacement Services will provide Program Benefit Reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to the Program Coordinator.  These reports will illustrate savings, adjuster/office use, and claim cycle times.  Cost reduction will be shown separately in the Replacing, Non-Replacing, and Quote in order to show true claim cost reduction.
